Todd Muchnick and Aaron Haber obtained a $650,000 verdict for a client who suffered serious orthopedic and psychological injuries in a motor vehicle accident. The case was tried before a jury in the United States District Court, Eastern District of Missouri. The verdict against Safeco Insurance Company of Illinois was obtained after the insurance company refused to provide underinsured motorist benefits to its insured, the plaintiff in the lawsuit.

The plaintiff was involved in a car accident and initially suffered a fracture to his cervical spine which required a cervical fusion. He also suffered a right shoulder rotator cuff tear and a biceps tendon injury which required arthroscopic surgery. Shortly after the accident, the plaintiff began to experience symptoms associated with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder which rendered him unable to work. Through the use of expert doctor testimony, the trial attorneys at Muchnick and Haber were able to demonstrate that the accident caused or contributed to cause the plaintiff's psychological injuries. A jury returned a verdict for $650,700 on the third day of trial after deliberating for approximately three hours.
