About Joshua

Josh was inspired to pursue personal injury practice by his own experience. As a teenager, he fell victim to someone else’s negligence and saw first-hand how insurance companies avoided his claims, forcing him to get a lawyer to receive fair compensation. After winning his trial, he knew he had found his purpose. He began his journey as a lawyer representing insurance companies, where he gained valuable insight on tactics used by large companies.

For nearly 20 years, attorney Joshua Margolis has successfully represented people in a wide variety of personal injury areas from trucking crashes, to construction accidents, defective products, and railroad injuries (FELA – Federal Employers Liability Act). Josh is experienced in all phases of litigation, including extensive discovery practice, motion practice, trial, post-trial and appellate practice.

Josh has tried jury and bench trials to verdict throughout Missouri, including in St. Louis, St. Louis County, Jefferson County and Franklin County. However, his experience spans across the country including cases in Illinois, Kansas, Arkansas, Texas, Colorado, Tennessee and Kentucky.

Case Study

Josh represented a severely injured woman and helped her receive a $1 million settlement for her injuries in a trucking accident. The plaintiff had no visible injuries, but as the use of her arm deteriorated, she was diagnosed with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS). Margolis fought against the trucking company’s defense claiming that she had been speeding and found them liable for failing to properly vet their trucker drivers. The case settled shortly before trial after four years of litigation. Despite the insurance company’s initial position that it would not pay a substantial amount of money to settle the case, it ultimately offered the full one million dollar policy limit of the trucking company insurance policy.
